Jessica McCleese is a licensed psychologist with specialized training in sex therapy and sex education from a Christian perspective. She has a passion to see Christians enjoying a fulfilling marriage and fully believes that God can restore those that experience pain in their sexual intimacy.
Jessica began working with couples during her training for her doctorate degree. It was during that time that she began to realize the need that couples (and often times, each individual in the couple relationship) had for healing in their sexual intimacy. For some, this need for healing came from past baggage or faulty teachings, while for others, their hurts were wrapped up in past or current pain in their marriage.
While still working toward her doctorate in clinical psychology, Jessica began pursuing her certification as a sex therapist through the American Board of Christian Sex Therapists and began gaining skill for providing Christian-based sex education through the Christian Association of Sexual Educators. Currently, Jessica is involved in a project aimed at teaching teens how to realize that they are sexually whole and have the ability to make wise decisions regarding their sexuality. She is also on the advisory board at Millennials for Marriage – a group that aims to encourage millennials to be equipped for marriage.
In July of 2016, Jessica and Jacob will have been married for 7 years. They have spent most of their marriage with one or both of them in school and have still continued to make fun and quality time together a priority. One of their favorite ways to connect is over coffee and a good book, and they just may be in a friendly competition to see which one of them reads more books in 2016.
